IDYLLWILD: Library supporters celebrate start of remodeling
It’s a skeleton now. The exercise machines are gone from a previous tenant, the block walls exposed with concrete foundation underfoot. But with the help of architectural drawings laid out in the bare space, Riverside County officials, library and Friends of the Library supporters finally saw a future in that space Friday after more than a dozen years of trying to find more room for the Idyllwild Branch Library.

Osceola County Commissioners voted today in favor of outsourcing management of Osceola County Library operations, saving taxpayers an estimated $6 million over the next five years. LSSI could begin operations of the library system as early as January 3, 2012.
